Admissions Process

To be admitted fully into an NSBT degree program each application for admission requires both the payment of a NON-REFUNDABLE application fee, as well as an entirely completed admission process (including OFFICIAL transcripts and three recommendations). Applicants can expect to be notified of the decision regarding acceptance within one month of the Registrar receiving all forms.  Candidates who have not completed an application may be allowed by the Dean to take courses for one session, but must complete the entire application in order to continue.  In compliance with the U.S. government’s Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). All information contained in a Seminary application is considered confidential and will be kept secure electronically by the Registrar.

Applications for degree programs will include completion of an information form, submission of transcripts for prior undergraduate and graduate work, three letters of recommendation (at least one from a person who is currently in leadership in a faith community), and several short essays written by the candidate and addressing key admissions questions. 

Candidates may apply at any time during the year.  Once an application is completed, applicants can expect to receive notification of acceptance within 30 days.  If accepted, candidates will be assigned by the Dean an Academic Advisor and are free to enroll in the next starting Session.
