About NSBT

NSBT is a graduate school of theological education preparing persons for Christian ministry and service in a global context.

The school is guided in its policies by its Mission and Vision statements. Students are expected to be persons who share our commitment to dynamic orthodoxy and to the contemporary relevance of Christian faith in diverse global contexts. Women and men studying at NSBT may already be involved in ministry in a Christian community or may be considering a call to service in a church. They may also be seeking to engage in ministries in the wider world. Tying these various threads together is the school’s commitment to academic excellence and to empowering contemporary global leaders.

History

New School of Biblical Theology (NSBT) has long been in the works in the thinking and imagining of its founding President, Dr. A. R. Bernard. Over several decades of successful ministry, Dr. Bernard witnessed the growing need for a new form of theological education that prepared people for ministry in the world and not just in the church. His attention to the changing realities of religious leadership in the contemporary world, and to the quickly evolving world of technological innovation, led him to envision a school that was entirely online, accessible globally, and committed to cultural engagement and public theology.

From its inception, NSBT has operated entirely online.

Relationship with Christian Cultural Center
