Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is NSBT’s external consultative body for the academic program. Its purpose is to bring the judgment of practitioners and scholars from outside the institution to bear on the relevance, currency, and quality of NSBT’s curricula and on the preparation of its graduates for ministry and leadership in a global context.

What the Council does

The Council convenes at least once each year. It offers consultative feedback on the currency, accuracy, and comprehensiveness of course content and on the alignment of the curriculum with current practice in Christian ministry and leadership.

Membership

The Council is composed of a Chairperson, members appointed for their standing in Christian ministry, theological education, pastoral care, or leadership practice, and a Faculty Liaison drawn from NSBT’s academic leadership.
