Office of Student Services
The Office of Student Services is the single institutional office responsible for the student records and student accounts functions of the New School of Biblical Theology.
Effective September 1, 2026, Randy Whittaker, Director of Information Technology and Interim Director of Student Services, leads the Office.
The single address for all student service inquiries is studentservices@nsbt.org. Registration, withdrawal, leave of absence, records, and transcript inquiries reach the Director of Student Services, and inquiries about tuition, fees, payment plans, and refunds reach the Office of Student Services. Records
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) as amended is a USA federal law which is designed to protect the privacy of students by limiting access to their educational records. FERPA applies to educational institutions that receive funding under programs administered by the U.S. Department of Education. NSBT does not participate in the Federal Student Aid programs and receives no such federal funds, so FERPA does not apply to NSBT. NSBT follows the law in its policies and procedures nonetheless, and its staff who handle student records maintain current FERPA training and certification.
FERPA prohibits disclosure of information related to a student to anyone other than a legitimate school official without the student’s explicit written consent. The New School of Biblical Theology does not designate any category of student information as directory information.
The Director of Student Services holds custody of student academic records and issues transcripts. Academic records are maintained in Populi. The student’s academic record is retained permanently. Transcripts, enrollment verifications and letters are requested through the Office of Student Services at studentservices@nsbt.org. A transcript is issued to the student or, on the student’s written consent, to a third party the student names.
Students or graduates have the right to inspect and review all information contained in their education records, including transcripts or reports. Students or graduates who wish to review their records must contact the Office of Student Services and Academic Dean to do so. Students or graduates who believe that their records contain information that is inaccurate, or misleading may petition the Dean in writing with a request that such information be changed.
